The Sims Medieval Unable to Click. [SOLVED] Empty The Sims Medieval Unable to Click. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 12 Oct 2014, 19:19

I just downloaded The Sims Medieval, applied the crack and started the game. But when the game opens, there's a popup that says my video card is unrecognized and that I should edit the options. However, I cannot click anything in game, it wont register. Not even the F5 key will work to bring up the options menu. I can't even click the next buttons to progress through the tutorials.

Hello Wintersnow,

I moved your post to the right place; we opened a new section for "The Sims Medieval". Smile   That said, do you know if your graphics drivers are up-to-date ? Please press the Windows key + R, type dxdiag in the search mask and hit enter. In the window that comes up next, go to the DISPLAY-tab, and post the data here, or make a screenshot. We need the information about the graphics card model/manufacturer, usually that's in the top left part of the Display-tab.

Good luck !

Thank you for moving my topic, I didn't know this section was here!

I cannot find the display tab when I bring up regedit, nor can I find the info for my graphics drivers via the regedit.

I have updated my AMD card as of 2 months ago, since I was forced to refresh the PC.

I'm so sorry, I got it wrong before. Facepalm  You must type dxdiag in the search mask that comes up by pressing the Windows key + R. So after the dxdiag, hit enter, and then look for the Display-tab.

OK, thanks. According to the screenshot, the drivers seem to be OK, indeed. So I think we can skip that.

Do you still have the "Pirates & Nobles" download from G4TW ? If so, can you look into the Support -> Updates folder and extract both the files there ?

Then try running the update file that says 2.0.109.00001_Update.exe. If it doesn't work - for some reason, try running the other file then. After the update, try applying the "Medieval Ultimate fix" again. Get it here:

https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t916-the-sims-medieval-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Note that you only need to apply the files in the #crack-folder, and nothing else. Copy + paste the files to the Medieval base game location; usually that's C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Game\Bin (if I recall correctly, I haven't played Medieval for a while now). Replace all existing files, when prompted.

Good luck !
