If you get a blank screen while playing I have the solution!

If you stumble upon a blank screen (with sound still intact, happens in build/buy mode strangely) all you have to do is change your resolution to 1280x768. Or even smaller if that doesn't work, it's automatically set to the highest resolution for some reason which causes this problem. I thought this was a bug but patches didn't fix it, and I heard other people that actually purchased the game had trouble with this too.
I also made the game run with the NVIDIA graphics processor on my computer rather than just the integrated graphics, which made the game run very smoothly and those frequent loading screens were passed faster.
Hope this helped somebody because it made me frustrated and I couldn't find solutions.

First of all, thank you very much for sharing this information ! Yes, weak graphics cards or these integrated chips aren't up to the task at times, to deal with games. However, we already have something similar, here (though it deals with Sims 3, you can adapt some of the stuff for Sims 4, too):

I think I mentioned lowering the resolution there, too. And when time comes, we will be "adapting" a number of our tips/fixes about Sims 3, for Sims 4 then too. Smile
