operating window 8.1, sims 4 still wont work

hey,
ive downloaded Sims 4 from our site, and was seeing the same errors as the other people. i then downloaded the ultimate fix which i thought had worked and probably did, but now when i try to launch the app it states " this app can't run on your pc, to find a version for your pc, check with the software publisher"
is it that the sims 4 download only works for windows 7?

The Sims 4 works with Windows 8. Please redownload the ultimate fix and reapply it. If that does not address your issue then please let us know so we can try to help you further.
