Re: Superhidden microsoft word documents. [SOLVED]
They are most probably temporary files.
Microsoft creates them when it autosaves regularly.
They should be gone once you close the document though...

Adding to what Shamrock said, I would maybe hide again those "protected Windows files/folders", too. In most cases, you won't need to see them anyway.

Are you sure these are Microsoft documents ? Did you do what I suggested before, with hiding the Windows files/folders again ?

I don't really see any problem with that. As long as you properly save your (Word) documents, these hidden files are not important. Why they still appear, I cannot really tell you; maybe it has to do with documents being saved "automatically" by Word ? So these hidden files are something like "backups" ?
I wouldn't worry too much about it, honestly, but maybe someone else has a better explanation.

Re: Superhidden microsoft word documents. [SOLVED]
Hi there,
Files starting with "$" are indeed usually temporary files. You can't do anything with them, but they are used by other software.
What you can try in your situation: back them up, remove them and then restart your PC. See if anything happens and if you can still open your Word documents.
I don't recommend removing any hidden files, as there's usually a reason why they're hidden. Just disable the "Show hidden files and folders" feature again.

The "real" files are where you usually keep your Microsoft Word documents I guess. And they are used by Microsoft Word, as some sort of "backup" I guess.
