TS3_1.67.2.0240xx_update.exe, file could not be accessed.
I looked all in the forum before I decided to post a thread, but I couldn't find something to explain how to fix the error, so here it goes.
I have been a long-time downloader from this site (Which has GREAT downloads, by the way) and have run across a problem for the first time. After I downloaded The Sims 3: Complete Collection, I installed the base game and went to run TS3_1.67.2.0240xx_update.exe for for the most recent patch, and got an error message. I would send a picture of it, but I clicked out and tried to install it again so I have to wait. Should I completely take the files out of winRAR before trying to install the patch? Is that where I'm going wrong first?

Hi! The new fix requires at least one of a certain few expansions to work. Please visit the link below and you will understand what's missing on what you did (the fix won't work with base game only, sorry).

Hi there, xenraii, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
If you are asking about extracting the files first, then yes, you should do it before installing anything. Just create an empty folder anywhere you want, and then take all of the folders inside the Complete Collection RAR and drag them to that folder. This should extract all of the contents into that folder. After you've done that, you can continue installing anything you want. Please, let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Also note that in order to update the game, you need to close ALL game-related open applications. That includes the LAUNCHER of The Sims 3 too (so please, close the game and the launcher, before trying to update). Good luck !
