"Error writing to file" [SOLVED] Empty "Error writing to file" [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 11 Jan 2015, 16:30

Hi!  I'm new here.

(This might be in the wrong place, if it is, feel free to move it)

I have used your torrents before for downloading The Sims 3 and have had a very good experience, so I decided to download your Sims 4 torrent. The download was very quick, but I encountered a problem with the installation.
Everything installs smoothly until this message pops up
"Error writing to file" [SOLVED] 4f264f082b
I am running the installer as an administrator and have tried making the installation location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4) Not read only. I have also tried changing the security permissions to allow full control, but this still doesn’t grant the installer access for writing the files. If I click ignore I get this message:
"Error writing to file" [SOLVED] Db3a0294ad
Clicking on retry causes the same message to appear and forces me to cancel the installation.
This is probably just me being dumb and i'm sure it can be easily fixed Help

Also obviously I can't apply the Ultimate Fix because the game doesn't get installed

Sorry for the belated reply,

The file (location) that is mentioned in your first screenshot - this rld.dll - can you navigate to the location shown in the message ? And then look for the file. If you find it, delete it, and start the installer again. Tell us how it went ! Smile
