Hello,

Sorry, no plans for that now. At least not anytime soon; and I can't really even tell when we could release it. For now, try installing a Windows OS on your Mac computer, and use our Windows version, if you want to play that game.

(And on a positive note: due to the lack of content in Sims 4, you probably won't miss anything. Better stick with Sims 3 for a little longer).

Hello,

That's a good question. Let me tell you this for a start: "they" usually don't give any (proper) support on their releases. In fact, most of the other uploaders than G4TW cannot even manage to provide coherent instructions on how to install their stuff.

And very closely related to that is the reason why there won't be a Mac OS release of Sims 4 anytime soon, from G4TW: we just couldn't give proper support on that game at present. Hence we don't even bother to release it. Because we always want to make sure that we know as much about our releases as possible - before we release the stuff.

Games4TheWorld is primarily a Windows (PC) game and software uploader; the Mac section was never more than a sideshow only. Most of the current team members have limited Mac OS knowledge at best.

You could now of course say something like "well, then just hire a bunch of new people". However, it's already difficult enough to find new "Helpers" who know a lot about Windows OS and the issues surrounding it. Finding good "Mac Helpers" then, is even more difficult - as history has shown.

Long story short: we currently don't have the personnel to deal with a Sims 4 release on Mac OS X. Yes, there are some users on here with good Mac knowledge, but none of them is currently active.

Please take the situation as it is. Smile  If you really want a Mac OS release of the game, you will need to get it from another source. Personally (and as I said to the OP already above), I suggest you install a Windows partition on your Mac computer and run our Windows release of Sims 4 there. It would probably be much more stable than the Mac version of the same game.

//EDIT

To spin the wheel "further": you could now point out "why the Windows Helpers don't just learn how to help on Mac OS...". And indeed: as far as I'm concerned, I did some experiments with "Snow Leopard" back then (on a virtual machine, lol). I think the Admin on here also has some experience with Mac on virtual machines.

But as for me, I'm very far from being capable of giving actual support on Mac here. That aside, I do not want to spend a small fortune on a good Mac computer; even though they are hyped by Mac-fans. So the only practical way for me to learn about Mac OS is to use a Windows-computer, and somehow emulate a Mac OS environment.

Sure I could "theoretically" learn how to handle Mac, but in the end, I simply don't have the time (and power) to take on that challenge. And neither do the other Windows team members.
