Buy debug/searchbar freezes the game. Empty Buy debug/searchbar freezes the game.

Hello everyone!

I've searched the www for a solution to this but I couldn't find anything.
Okay so you know the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat... well, it's working pretty great, I can see the hidden objects. But not all of them (like plants, fruits, vegetables, BABIES...). I know you're supposed to type "debug" or "** debug **" in the search bar, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Whenever I type just one letter, my game freezes and I have to restart my computer because nothing works?
I would highly appreciate it if you had any idea what could be causing this problem :[

Hello and welcome to the forum oedeme,


Try at first adding the TS4.exe of your game install folder, to the "DEP" exceptions. To see how to do that, look here:

This was written for Sims 3, but you can apply that to (almost) any file, basically. Focus on teh part about the "DEP" only, and then add the TS4.exe from your game install folder (usually the file is in C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Game\Bin) to the DEP exclusions.

I guess this is what you mean with the "Debug" ? Are you using any mods or other custom content, by chance ?
