Can't install manual patch in the base game ver 1.0.615.000107

Hi,
I bought a retail pirate The Sims 3 cd version 1.0.615.00107. I installed The Sims 3 using that cd. I want to update the version, so I look up into the instruction how to install sims 3 correctly.

I'm on the second step which is manual patching. However when I try to install it, it says "The setup has detected that no version of The Sims 3 is installed. This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed".

Help me please.

Then I try to manual patch using the The Sims 3 to v1.67 (manual patch). But when I try to install it says:

Do I need to install different patch?

Hello,

You say you've installed a pirated cd. It's possible that that version uses a modified installer that isn't recognized by the patch application and you won't be able to install it.
My recommendation is, to install a game that you download from torrent. Is that a possibility for you? We'll be happy to help you get started.

In case you need it, you can get The Sims 3 from our website here:
http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html

There is a complete collection or the separate Expansion/Stuff Packs if you want them.
And another suggestion: you should do a clean uninstall of the version of the game you have right now. Just to avoid incompatibilities with the one you are going to install. To do that, get Your Uninstaller! Pro from the same website above. Install it following the instructions. Then, look for The Sims 3 in the list of programs, click uninstall, and select the 'Super Mode'. Let it finish deleting everything and then restart your PC. You may install the new version of The Sims 3 then.

Thanks again. Currently I'm downloading the expansion pack as I thought that my sims 3 could work. Sadly no. My internet speed is quite slow so it might take a longer time to finish download all. 

I'll let you know my progress later.

Just want to update my progress. Everything's going well. I'm glad I finally got to update my Sims 3. I just wanna know whether I have to register origin account because when I play Sims 3, it keeps ask me to log in, but I just ignore it.
