Cannot play without Origin error. [SOLVED]

I cannot understand what I am doing wrong. I followed every step, it's allowed in my firewall, I have no anti-virus program on my laptop currently so I skipped that step, and my window defender is off. I followed every step and still no luck. I had installed origin and it worked but none of the items and clothing were there so that sucked. System restored back before I installed everything and then reinstalled sims 4, used with the current ultimate fix, then just the Get To Work EP but still no luck. Tried disconnecting the internet, no dice, turning windows defender on and off, no dice, it's included in my firewall exception list, and the firewall is disabled still not happening.

I really don't know what else to do sadly. I'm looking through the replies in the forum post below but I don't understand the part about letting the application connect. WhatDidUJustCallMe?

Um, for anyone reading this or know if.. I buy the game and used the Get to Work EP from here will it work? Cuz if so I might just do that.

is your game in origin folder of games maybe its causing this error ?
and origin should be closed and not even in offline mod (its what the admins said)
and maybe you can move your game from origin folder of games to another folder in the same hard drive and crack it with ultimate fix and then install the GTW pack
if you have a legit game no need to move it just crack it with the UF and then install the GTW pack

Ok so i followed all the windows security steps, was still showing as the error of not starting up right when i tried to put crack in from what was said to put in it started saying cannot start without origin and i guarantee you i followed all the steps from the windows security page. Could it be something else? I also uninstalled origin in which it would open if i installed and sign on and went to offline mode but then i would not see the Get to work Expansion or the outdoor retreat expansion.

if you have any anti-virus deactivate it and crack the game but you steel need to add the sims folder to exclusions list
you have to close origin and not going in offline mod and apply the ultimate fix if your anti-virus detect that the fix have a virus then deactivate it and put your sims folder to exclusions

try deleting these files in documents (this one is like restoring the game to factory settings or something)

and if you cracked it with the ultimate fix apply the GTW pack
if it doesn't work then its somthing else
and dont forget to add the sims 4 folder to exlusions because the anti-virus can detect it as a virus (the crack UF)

also I am on windows 8.1 pc so is their any steps that could work with that though it was still possible to do all the steps in the site you showed me that seem not to work so is their something that i may have to delete?

am using windows 8.1 pro and its working with me
and for the files you may delete they are in C:\Users\User name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 maybe it will fix your problem
Note: delete only the files dont touch the folders and make sure origin is not running

ok i done what was said in the above picture but not it just pops the black screen up then goes off like nothing ever happened also when i just tried to download the ultimate fix it says that it is no longer their do you have a link to where i can download itbecause also on torrent it is just stuck on "finding peers"

clean the registry first and if it doesn't work than use the normal cleaner with what is checked and marked

its still not working I think i am just going to give up on this GTW from G4TW. Do you guys know if you can make downloading these expansions just like downloading the sims 3 expansions from here?

Sorry to hear about your issues,

From my experience, the guide you linked to (and which I not only tested myself successfully, but on countless other people too) works *almost always*. Those cases that do not work often involve some "hidden" security software that the user is not aware of, or possibly some network restrictions: so that even if you allow the TS4.exe to communicate through the firewall, your network itself may be blocking the file. But I'll still have to see what is behind all of that.

Also note that the guide gets updated whenever new information is available.

What I can also say from experience is that 9 out of 10 people have huge problems even in understanding the guide. This may sound arrogant to you, but it's an (uncomfortable ?) truth. And I have to admit myself: this guide is probably the hardest thing to do, from all available G4TW tutorials here.

In many cases, I then help out via TeamViewer, and mostly I manage to get the game working for people. But keep in mind that it is impossible for me to get back to all users on here, via TeamViewer.

Sorry, but what do you mean by that ? If you have problems with configuring your anti-virus program(s) and firewall(s), then the "format" of the download won't solve your problems either. And I actually find the way the downloads are for TS4 now, MUCH easier than the ones for TS3, but OK, that's just my view of things.

Indeed, if people really cannot get the game working, I often suggest that they let it be for the moment and do something else instead. And when they feel better, they should try again. There is no use in trying the guide "multiple times", as you will only make things worse. You keep on failing, and you will get more and more frustrated, up until the point that you most likely do something seriously wrong on your computer.
