Screen goes black in build/buy mode

Why every time I click the screen goes black then when i tab out i goes back to normal?

Please, check if your video card is up to date and if it meets the minimum requirements to run the game.
Also, check if your game is being ran using your discrete video or your inboard/in processor one (NVidia vs Intel, for example).
