Depends on how you define "chit-chat". Smile  Users with moderating rights (Admins, Mods, etc.) will sometimes have differing views on where to move what. You are right that sometimes there is more than one possible solution, but the way we do things here is that the decision of the first Mod/Admin, as long as it's "within boundaries", is to be respected. 

I'm not going to move the thread you linked to, into the "TS4 Downloads support", and most likely the Admin won't move this one here to the "TS4 chit-chat" either.

The way I myself used to do things here, is that when I see someone requesting Sims stuff, I move it into one of the "Downloads support" sections. Of course, other Mods/Admins might move stuff elsewhere when they see it. Again, oftentimes there can be more than one solution to an issue.

In general though, you should not be concerned too much about moderating issues like these. Wink  You may contact one of the Mods or Admins via PM, if you see a violation that needs an urgent response (outside link/warez/spam/ads/p0rn/etc.). Everything else beyond that, you can leave to us (Mods, Admins).

Should you get promoted to a Sims Helper (green username), which might happen at one point or another, you will "have" more than enough opportunity to do these things yourself, in certain subforums at least. And believe me, it's very likely that you will soon find it extremely monotonuous.
