A bit confused. I have The Sims 4 disc that I bought, but I want to download the expansion packs. How can I do that while still being able to use my retail copy to go online?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Please download "Get to Work" from here, and apply the files to your Sims 4 install location (typically C:\Program files(x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4). When prompted, overwrite all of the old files.

After that, get the Ultimate fix from this page here:

And apply the files again, in the same manner as the Get to Work-ones. After that, leave Origin closed, and play the game. You might also want to check out this post here though:
