Installed Sims 3 create a pet demo and now the other games won't start. [SOLVED]

Okay so here are the facts

I have all the sims 3 games from here. They all installed easily and worked perfectly. I only installed less than a week ago so it is all updated.

Today I saw the Sims 3 create a pet demo and thought since it wasn't a full game that it could be okay to install, and since I didn't see anything on here about it I went and tried it. I had to install Origin to get it but I thought I saw that you can use the updater with these games. Well it all installed fine and the demo was pretty lame.

Now whenever I try to open the real games I get "There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details"

I unistalled the pets demo and origin but still get that message. Is there anything I can do to fix it without reinstalling?

Hello,
I've done some reading on this demo and it seems that there are issues uninstalling it, and that its not even a mere demo, but should be treated as a patch.
You may try to use Ccleaner to remove left over traces of it, or try the suggestions listed here
I think its good to make this a general warning for now.

It is fixed! I tried what they said in the link you gave. Delete the two files from the worlds folder and the other in the DCCache folder and the game should work again for others.

EDIT

Okay jumped the gun on that. I am still unable to play but I do not get the message anymore. Now it says that I do not have a game disk in and that I must insert town life. And from what I have also seen all of my custom stuff in sims3pack form has uninstalled except some house and a sim. I will post if I found a solution.

Hello,
Try reapplying the crack from the fix.
You should be able to reinstall your sims3packs.

It's working again! I replaced my old crack and it stopped showing the message. I did it right after my last post but forgot to say that it was fixed.
