TS4 "Origin is not open"

Hi there,
I am having some issues installing my Sims 4. I have downloaded the base game, Get To Work Expansion and fix directly from the G4TW, installed origin, installed the game and fix, disabled my wifi, opened origin and then booted the game which resulted in an error message stating origin is not open. I have uninstalled the game and origin and reinstalled but still the error occurs. I have gone through some posts and tried everything suggested but have had no luck. I was hoping somebody could help?

Hi there, @wrecklace, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum! 
You are not supposed to run Origin in the background when playing The Sims 4, not even in Offline Mode (or disabling WiFi). Try closing Origin and see if the error appears again.
