unable to disable malwarbytes new version updater

Hello,
The download of Malwarbytes anti malware went perfectly and its working perfectly . The only problem is that it keeps trying to update. the only choices it the pop up are Ok and Later. I went into settings and unticked updates and everything else that is connected to updates..yet i keep getting this pop up , telling me to download the new version..i work from home and its interrupting the programs im running. plz help. Is there really a way to deal with this or should i just delete?

Hi,
Are you sure it's trying to update the software and not the database? (You can update the database just fine)
