Crash on travel, hitting RAM limit? Empty Crash on travel, hitting RAM limit?

So the Sims 4 is a 32-bit application, which might not be a problem if I didn't use a lot of CC. Recently, as a result of the new updates + more CC, I suspect my game has been crashing on travel because it hits the artificial RAM limit imposed on the application. I say this because the Sims process never uses more than 30% of my CPU or memory in the task manager, but while it is loading on travel it crashes about 1/3rd of the time, especially on residential lots. I've already adjusted the JAVA settings in Computer to try to help, but it didn't do much.

I searched the forums and found https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17953-sims-4-crashes-to-desktop-when-i-want-t-travel-in-city-solved this old patcher, but it doesn't seem to work at all with the cracked EXE. When I try to launch the cracked and patched EXE, it starts up Origin like an unpatched EXE. Is it possible to use them at the same time, somehow? Probably not, but I figured it'd be worth a shot. If anybody has any other suggestions to boost performance, shoot. I like having my CC cake and eating it too. My system should be able to handle everything I'm throwing at it easily.

Because somebody is inevitably going to ask, here are my specs:
Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
ASRock Z97 Killer (CPUSocket)
Graphics
3071MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (EVGA)

The ultimate fix installed perfectly fine for me and aside from these crashes, everything is golden. If it matters, I installed the fix directly on top of the legit Origin download.

Crash on travel, hitting RAM limit? Empty Re: Crash on travel, hitting RAM limit?

Hi! Did you try updating your video card drivers, and running the game with it instead of the "on board" one (it happens, trust me, you can right click the game exe and run with your NVidia).

Also, you may try lowering your video settings a little (just to see if makes a difference) and keep your virtual memory on, even though you don't "need it", because some programs crash if we disable it completely Sad

It is ok to install the fix on top of the legit game, no concerns here. Smile

Please, keep us posted Wink
