Registration code still appears even after installation redo of The Sims 3.
Hi,
I have an issue with trying to start The Sims 3 after I placed in the crack. Even after I did it, the registration code popup still appears. I carefully read the whole manual, reinstalled everything through it, and the popup still showed. I even removed my custom content. I think it might be because I retrieved The Sims 3 from this link and not the torrent: oceanofgames.com/the-sims-3-free-download/. I haven't tried the torrent because I had an awful experience with torrents the last time when I tried to install Microsoft Flight Simulator X and my internet is completely slow when downloading large files (up to 90 KB/sec.) Should I still try that anyway?

If registration code popup appears, it does mean that the game isn't cracked correctly. Did that version come with it's own crack? I'm asking just to make sure it's the correct version of crack.
Also, are you sure you put the crack in correct folder? If you used default installation directory, then that's C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and you should get popup asking you if you want to replace files (overwrite). So did that happen?

Yes, that version had its own crack only meant for it. It worked before I installed the manual update. Also, I made sure I put it in that location through the guide; it did happen.

If you installed manual update, then you need to crack it again, but this time with a new crack made for that version of game (I'm assuming 1.67 since that's the latest one)

Actually, I tried applying the crack from the Ultimate Fix, but the pop-up showed up again.

I'm clueless then, maybe wait for Carlos to reply.
There's only one thing in Installation guide inside of rar where fixes are, and it says "(IF YOU DON’T INSTALL AT LEAST ONE OF THESE EXPANSIONS, THE GAME STILL WON’T WORK!)" and then it has these expansions listed - Into the Future, Movie Stuff, Island Paradise, University Life, 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations
Now I don't know if that refers just to fixes or game in general, but it sounds like it refers to the game. I always install at least one expansion pack just in case and I never had problems with crack.

I don't know. I've tried even installing an expansion pack (Late Night), but that didn't solve the problem either.

Late Night wouldn't solve it though, you need Generations or newer I think.
EA did something differently related to expansions prior to Generations, I remember we had to crack expansion packs as well. That's why there are separate folders in The_Sims_3_fix.rar for them.

I think I figured it out. I know this was two months ago, but I have now noticed that I have version 1.0.615, which is the Reloaded version. I can't update my copy unless I can obtain a patch that will update it to 1.0.631, which the official patches start from. Do you know a way on how to obtain this patch?
