Hi The Sim Architect! I followed EVERYTHING in the video. However, when I opened the base game on my desktop, only the Origin login window opened. I logged in and saw that I only have the Sims 4 Create-A-Sim Demo there. I tried opening the game several times, but it doesn't. Help me please!!! :'(

Hi there, @wistfulprincess! Smile

The most likely cause for that is that the Ultimate Fix wasn't applied correctly. Did you make sure to exclude the current location of the game (that should be at Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4) from all of your security software? If you have multiple antivirus, like Windows Defender and some others, or even antimalware, you should configure all of them correctly before applying the Ultimate Fix.

Now, you need to re-extract the Ultimate Fix if you still have the RAR, or download it again. You should extract it directly to the game's current location, because if you extract it to another folder first, you also need to add this folder to the Exceptions List of your antivirus. Try this and let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Hi. I do have two anti-virus programs running, 360 Total Security and Microsoft Security Essentials. I included three items in my exclusions lists: (1) Installer folder where I decrypted the files, (2) The Sims 4 folder under Program Files (x86), and (3) the shortcut I made in my desktop.

I tried opening the game from the Bin folder, which was a suggestion I saw somewhere. It worked for a couple of days, until today. When I right-clicked and chose Run as Administrator like I always have, an error message appeared and the file (TS4.exe) disappeared from the folder! Sad

Looks like I have to do everything over again. Sad

Same thing happened to me & my windows defender, on my torrents that I am seeding.

The anti virus is treating the crack as a virus again if you only "restore" the quarantined files (something you can try, though), instead of excluding the folders (did you exclude the folders at both, Defender and Norton, or only at Norton?), and you need to restore it again and again, plus check if the right folders are still excluded from real time protection at both anti viruses.

Also, I am not sure how Norton treats those "fake threats", even if you exclude the folders, so some investigating inside of it may show some "removed" items and you can try restoring whatever was blocked manually.

No need to worry about firewall, but you need to worry about other anti malware you may have installed before or even recently (sometimes you get something plain like Flash player, and if you do not pay attention, it will come with another anti-virus, which could be the culprit as well).

Please, keep us posted!

Hi. The same problem happened to me again. Why God. I had to redo the steps from extracting the files from the zip files. I had the items mentioned above included in my exclusions list in both anti-virus programs for both times I installed the game. It worked again, for weeks, until today. When I opened my game (using the right-click, Run as Administrator) just now, the error message popped up again and the TS4.exe file disappeared.  Why God.

I'm downloading the new torrent of the fix now from the Ultimate Fix thread (https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18086-the-sims-4-ultimate-fix), but I'll try to follow the steps from Sim Architect again for the third time.  Why God.

Question though, where can I find the save data of the current setup of The Sims 4? And can we add mods for this version? I can't seem to find the folders from the original setup.

Have you found any solutions for this issue? Thanks very much for all the help!  All Hail Carlos!

All of your data is located at Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. Particularly in the saves folder. The Tray folder also contains everything that was downloaded from the Gallery if you ever did so. There's some other folders in there that you may want to keep (Mods, like that).

Now: if TS4.exe disappeared, then it was most probably deleted by something. Like an antivirus, anti-malware, or some other security programs on your PC (Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool?). Are you sure that you don't have any of those? This last one doesn't even show up in the list of installed programs.
