Stuck on Travelling Home loading screen

Hi, I need help about going home from University. So I have 2 Sims who just finished their 2-week term in the University. So after they got the report card I sent them to the Administration Building to enroll for their last term, and at night they went to a party. (This all happened on Saturday) then came 9pm that they had to go home.

Now, I am on the Travelling Home loading screen and still stuck on it for almost 10 minutes now. The cursor's circle is rotating and Game Tip texts are changing with music playing, but my loading bar is stuck at nearly the very last part of it.

I don't know what to do because I didn't save my game at the time they got the report cards but I saved them on their second last day at the University.

Also, I have Game Booster on.

Did I do something wrong? I hope someone can help me. Sad

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I know that the game may present issues with travelling (including World Adventures, To The Future and University Worlds), and you may lose your game progress because of that.

Besides waiting, there's not much to do. Next time, please use "Save As" before you "travel" using different names, so you have multiple level backups.

I hope your game gets unstuck, otherwise you will have to use the last save Sad

for me it loads always slower when traveling thru worlds. But that is my laptop Why.

. Maybe close heavy programs running on your pc.

These problems with travelling are very common unfortunately, and haven't been fixed by EA. There isn't that much that can be done I'm afraid, though I was planning to write a post about it, on a related issue.

Try disabling "interactive loading screens" from the options menu. And see if that helps; but you shouldn't expect much of it.

I myself once used a mod that allowed you to take university classes in your homeworld, by placing a community lot and entering the classes with so-called "university rugs". But the mod was on my old hard-drive that died, and I couldn't save part of that old data in time. And what's worse (?), the mod was at that time taken down (from MTS), because the mod creator claimed that "other people have re-uploaded the mod under their own name without asking for permission...". While the anger about that is understandable, I don't see why taking down all mods is a solution here.

But of course, it's the mod creator's decision what she does with her stuff. As much as one may find the proceedings strange, in that particular case. [/offtopic]
