So many HTTP connections. [SOLVED]

Re: So many HTTP connections. [SOLVED]
Hello,
I never bothered to look into that. But if it makes you feel "safer", feel free to (completely) block the game's .exe files in your Windows firewall. Or disconnect your internet before playing. In both cases, the game should still run - or at least it does so for me.
In the lengthy guide I wrote back then (here), I suggested to actually allow connecting the .exe to the internet, because back then, it was seemingly necessary to get the pirated Sims 4 game running. But as of recently, it doesn't appear to be so important anymore.

According to the logs that you posted in your first message, the game appears to connect to EA servers - which is consistent with the theory that I had when writing the lengthy guide about "unable to start: initialization error at startup".
Some people claim that EA sometimes blocks IP addresses, and you either need to use a proxy/VPN for connecting to the internet, or disconnect your internet before playing a pirated Sims 4. But I don't know what to make of all that, yet.
I guess that as of now, it doesn't really matter much, what you do here. You can indeed either leave it as it is, disconnect the internet.

Sorry, I actually meant to close this thread, but for some reason I forgot to click the "Lock"-button.
Please be aware that it is impossible to tell at this point whether you will be getting problems in the future. Only time will tell. As for me, I had my TS4 connected to the internet all the time now, and no problems on my end so far.
Does that answer your question, and if yes, can I close the thread then ? (you can always open a new thread, for new questions)

Re: So many HTTP connections. [SOLVED]
Hi,
THIS is one of the links. I think it's part of the game's online features. If you're really paranoid, you can block the game's access to the interwebz, by blocking it in the firewall.
Other than that, what kind of "problems" do you mean?
P.S. What software did you use to find out what connections a program makes? It's pretty interesting.

Yes, what program is it, @lazaros ? Is it this one here ?

Never tried that one myself, but it looks interesting.
