Game breaks w/e I use CC

I've had this problem twice now. The first time I was playing a legit version of s4 with cracked GTG, all the sims on a lot would freeze and just idle. I couldn't do anything, so I deleted the legit version and all addons then did the cracked version. Everything worked until today when I tried to play. All of a sudden, my sim wouldn't eat, shower or do much else except sleep in their bed. I would click the shower and hear the sound for the action queuing up, but the bubble never appeared and my sim would get stuck.

I'd try restarting the game and it would work for a moment upon entering the game before breaking. Then, whenever I open a window like Game Options or the Save Game menu, and then close it, it would work for literally a second and try to complete the action I just queued before stopping.

I removed all my mods and played vanilla and things worked again. Added some script mods and it stopped working. Removed them, played fine. Tried adding just my CC back, it all stopped working. Trial and error and no matter what CC I add, even if just one, the game breaks.

Update: got the game working, using a little more than half my CC. Script mods are completely unusable, though
