Deleting tasks Empty Deleting tasks

Post by Guest Wed 13 Jan 2016, 20:31

So.. I just wondered if anyone else has this problem too.

It is like the game delete the tasks for the sims if I give them more than one. And it is a little frustrating when you have big household, only to able to use one command at a time.

The problem started after I installed GTG. And I noticed that it often happens when they shower. Or attempts to..
For example: I tell them to: pee, shower, eat. And what they do is (and notice the order): Step into shower (dont wash), step out of shower 1 second after. Sit down on toilet (sometimes they pee, sometimes they don't), stand up and then they go eat.

Other small thing is that when the children do their homework, it is like they reset when they are done.

And sometimes they stand for a looong time before they begin doing their task.

Also I often try to talk to other sims and it just deletes my command if the other sim sits, for example. First they will walk to weird places, but in the end it just deletes the task.

The chef you can hire almost dont make any food. He just leaves bowls and chopping boards all over.

I don't have any costom content, and I installed the hotflix, and cleared my cache.

Hello and welcome to the forum first of all, @Sigidus,

Are you sure you don't have any outdated scripting mods or the like ? Because the issue sounds very familiar (and it sounds like mods are involved). If not, try renaming the folder "The Sims 4" in Documents\Electronic Arts and start the game again. Just change the folder's name.

Then make a temporary new savegame and play on. See if you encounter the same problems there. Good luck !

Hi Smile Thank you. And sorry it took so long for me to respond. But unfortunatly it didn't work renaming the folder.

About the mods; I have never played with mods. And I delete the cache before I start playing. There is one mod ind my mods folder called resource.cfg. Not anything I have installed.

No problem at all, but let's see what else can be done about your issue. Try deleting the (relevant) cache files for the game. Navigate to C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. Now do the following.

1) Delete the file localthumbcache.package
2) Navigate inside the subfolder cachestr, and delete the contents inside it. Don't delete the actual cachestr-folder though !
3) Navigate inside the folder cache, and delete all the contents inside it. But again, don't delete the actual cache-folder !

Now try the game again. See if it works and feel free to post back. Deleting tasks Icon_smile
