"The Sims 4 has stopped working"
Ok so, I have been struggling with The Sims 4 for almost a week.
First I download the RELOADED torrent, and every time I launch it I get "Failed to Initialize" error.
I saw the posts on how to fix it and did pretty much EVERYTHING, non worked.
So I downloaded another torrent, same result.
Finally, I downloaded the G4TW torrent, and the same thing happened.
I tried and tried to fix it, nothing worked.
Until today I downloaded the Ultimate Fix, and then it wouldn't launch at all.
So I uninstalled The Sims and restarted my PC. Then I re-downloaded it.
Well, I can't say it really fixed the problem, as another error popped up when I attempted to launch it WITHOUT the Ultimate Fix, being "Unable to start: The contents of your user data are created by...".
So I checked the fix given by G4TW and deleted the Default.ini or the GameVersion.txt
It fixed the problem, but I was left with the "Failed to Initialize" error all over again.
I didn't want to have to go through this all over again so I put back the Default.ini or GameVersion.txt and put in the Ultimate Fix.
Now, here comes the problem I'm facing now:
"The Sims 4 has stopped working" immediately when I launch it.
Nothing even pops up but that message.
At some point that message appeared and after that it told me "Origin needs to be open to be able to play The Sims 4"
So I opened Origin and then the same message appears:
"The Sims 4 has stopped working"
I have read a few topics on the cause and how to fix it, yet no luck.
I feel like it's just impossible to fix it..
Please, PLEASE help me! I want to play it so bad and am sick of trying and trying for almost a week everyday.
My error code:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BEX64
Application Name: TS4_x64.exe
Application Version: 1.13.104.1010

One more thing/question, can I repair a non-origin shortcut, as I put the shortcut of TS4_x64 onto Origin, and I want to repair the game.
Any further information can and will be given once asked.
Sorry for the long topic.
Thanks in advance,
- Edward

Re: "The Sims 4 has stopped working"
Hello and welcome to the forum @KingEdwardKenway,
Maybe it's best to take a little pause from the game, for a while. After that...what exactly have you tried already ? Do you mean the topic here ?
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18501-unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-startup-updated-on-11-9-2015
What is your anti-virus software ? If you find you are having difficulties with the guide and/or configuring exclusions properly, it may already help if you turn off your anti-virus for the moment. Then, you should download "Get to Work" as well as "Get together" from the site here. Follow the included instructions in those downloads.
Make sure to install at first Get to Work, then Get together. At the end, apply the hotfix I described in this topic. Then delete all old desktop shortcuts and run the game from the TS4.exe in the new location.
Note, do not run Origin alongside a pirated Sims 4. That won't work. Good luck for the moment !

Re: "The Sims 4 has stopped working"
Ok, so I did all of that, disabled my anti-virus (which never really interfered as I have already followed the topic given regarding anti-viruses) and put on the Get to Work then Get Together packs, and added the hotfix. Still end up with nothing. Same error, if Origin isn't running, "Please make sure Origin is running before trying to play The Sims 4" or if it is running I get "The Sims 4 has stopped working". Any advice or help?
I forgot to mention that I tried everything that I saw on all sorts of threads on how to fix "Origin is not running", resulting in none working. Throughout doing all of this I definitely HAVE disabled my anti-virus even though I believe I have already stopped conflicts by adding the paths and what not, and I have also disabled Windows Defender. I literally tried pretty much EVERYTHING, uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling, cleaning registry, reinstalling as Admin, this, that, EVERYTHING. I really need some help or Sims 4 will be crossed out of my list of games..

Sorry to hear about that, but at that point there isn't much else I can say. In the past I suggested to people, that they try re-installing Windows. And in (nearly) all cases, these people eventually managed to get their Sims 4 working then.
I'm sorry again that these "known fixes" on the forum didn't help you, but note that in the end, we cannot solve every problem that comes up. And given the fact that EA have done a good job in making the game nearly impossible to crack, the resulting (or currently circulating) No-Origin files from Reloaded have significant weaknesses. Not that I could do it better - that's not what I am implying. But I guess we'll have to take the situation as it is, and as unfortunate it may be for some.

Re: "The Sims 4 has stopped working"
Ok, thanks for all the help. I'm probably not re-installing Windows as it isn't my choice to make, and may cause some problems. Thanks for everything regardless. I may come across a way to fix it but as of now I guess I'll leave it as it is.Carlos wrote:KingEdwardKenway wrote:Ok, so I did all of that, disabled my anti-virus (which never really interfered as I have already followed the topic given regarding anti-viruses) and put on the Get to Work then Get Together packs, and added the hotfix. Sorry again to hear about it, but I'l leave the thread open in case anybody has another suggestion. If possible for you, you could give it a go and try installing the game on another computer, from a relative or friend. If you have access to that, and their permission, of course.
Other than that, feel free to open a new topic about a different issue, should you need support about anything else we can help with !
