Game Says I Need Orgin When Adding CC

"Unable to start:
Origin is currently not running.Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play Sims 4."
Ok so I'm trying to add mods/cc to my game and i found a thread saying you need to go the documents/EA/Sims 4 and find the mods folder there and add mods/cc after you run the game fore the first time. Whenever i try adding cc and start the game to see if it works i get that message. I tried deleting the cc and running the game but i still get that error message. This happened to me once before and i had to uninstall and reinstall everything again, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hello @typsygypsy713 and welcome to the forum,
This is the first time I heard from such an error, and I may not have a (working) solution to your issue. Does the error occur with literally ALL types of CC ? But in my experience, the error usually has other reasons, described here and here. And the fact that the game still does not work for you after removing the CC indicates that it is not (!) related to CC at all. Please check out the 2 links that I posted before, and apply the procedures described there, to your own system.
