Sims 3 career mods. [SOLVED]

Hello!
A few days ago I found out that there is career mods for sims 3. I read and follow every step in videos that I found on youtube but it doesnt work for me. Does someone know what I have to do? I want a veterinary career in my sims 3

Hello maja,

Installing those career-mods shouldn't be much of a problem. In most cases you simply put the mod file into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages. Sometimes you also need to delete the file scriptCache.package file, located in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.

Did you read all available instructions on how to apply/start this custom job ? Maybe you need to visit a community lot that seems "unusual" for the job, in order to apply for it.

Hello,
I download career from this link ( http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=464085 ) and there it says "
Before you download this career you need to download the Careers mod from Twallan here:

The Careers - Phase Ten

so that the career shows up in-game!"

I downloaded and extracted it into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages.
When i play the game it shows that those files are in the game but i cant find anywhere that job.
What am I doing wrong?

Sorry for the late reply, but did you consider the possibility that this mod may simply not work anymore, with the current patch versions of The Sims 3 (versions 1.67/1.69) ? That mod is VERY old (from 2011).

If the career doesn't show up at the hospital, you can be (practically) sure that the mod isn't working anymore these day.

Base Mod - Phase Fifteen

I think it's not working beuase it's old like Carlos said
I'm so sad because of that but hope that someone will do another one which will work with new versions

I didn't read the full description of the mod on MTS, but I'll assume that this is largely a rabbithole-career ? I.e. you are at the hospital all the time, and can't really control much of what your sim is doing throughout the work shift ? If so, I wouldn't cry too much about these things, but that's just how I feel about it.

Hey
I download career from the link that i post and Base Mod - Phase Fifteen
I put it in folder mods -> packages
And when i play the game, it says that it's in the game but i couldnt find it.
My game version is 1.67
Please tell me if i did something wrong and what did you do that it works fine

It's in the game.

Check your packages folder and make sure that you have only ONE version of the Careers mod (that would be Phase Fifteen). Then check if you have the career you want (the Vet Career) in the folder. The Careers mod works because I use it for part-time jobs for my teen and a few other things.

If it still doesn't work then it's the Vet Career NOT the Careers mod.

Didn't NRAAS - at least in the past - always use the same filenames for their mods, independent of their version ? So in case you wanted to update a mod, you only had to extract it from the .zip (which contained the version number), and then simply place the .package into the Mods/Packages folder, replacing the existing mod with the same filename.. Maybe they're doing it differently now though, I haven't been keeping up as of lately with NRAAS...

To be honest, I dont know what's the difference xD
I just put career and Base mod phase fifteen in mods -> packages folder. I renamed it to VeterinaryCareer and NRaas Career V86, maybe it's because of it.
And I just found it in the game Very Happy
