Sims 3 SecuROM Error (8016)

Hello again!

My Sims 2 Ultimate Collection is now working, but now I'm having problems with TS3. I've downloaded the Complete Edition from G4TW, and I've only tried installing the base game for now. I've copied and pasted the files from the # Crack folder to the Bin folder, and I have also ran the update included in that same # Crack folder. The game won't launch; it only gives me error 8016 (the SecuROM Windows 10/Skylake CPU error). Any idea on how to fix this? I tried the Ultimate Fix as well, but it didn't fix it, either.

Any help? I'm just trying to decide between TS2 or TS3 once and for all, lol.

Thanks for opening a new thread ! For now, please have a look at this guide here and install at least one of the other expansions or stuffpacks:

Then re-apply the manual patch + Ultimate fix. See if it lets you run the game. Good luck !

Good news and bad news! I'm no longer getting the SecuROM error after installing World Adventures and repasting all the cracks, but no I'm getting "Service initialization failed (0x024e424f) when I try launching from the TSW3.exe. When I try launching from the launcher, it asks me to insert the World Adventures disk.

I also made sure to install one of the required EPs (Generations) for the Ultimate Fix, but it still isn't working.

There is a folder named #Crack inside the Ultimate fix download. It contains 2 files, namely the TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll. Copy these 2 files and paste them into the following location:

C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

And replace the existing files when prompted. Then try running the game again.
