Completely Black Plumbob

Beyond what the previous poster suggested, did you by chance use the cheat HeadlineEffects on ? If yes, could you try turning the cheat off again ?

Can you try navigating to the location Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, and then delete the file localthumbcache.package ? Then re-start the game and see if it affects your game positively.

I actually started having more problems with the game, like my sims going to the bathroom instead of doing literally any task I assign, despite having a completely full bladder bar, or going through the floor when they walk and stuff like that, so I looked it up and apparently my game needs to be repaired with Origin, is there any way I can repair the game without Origin? I don't want to have to reinstall everything all over again.
