The Sims 3 Full Store + Blue River (2016) by SimArchitect - Corrupted names problem. [SOLVED]
Guys i found and got the newer pack of SimArchitect on his/her youtube channel of the Sims 3 Store.
I liked the fact he merged everything in .package files, so it's more "clean".
But i encountered a problem with the worlds, every house/lot/sim/object/etc. name is corrupted (seems the random generated ones, or the world generated ones, very few are ok), is showed for example like this full directory path: Gameplay/Excel/DOT09_World/Sims/Houselot/Object:"Sim/Lot/Object-Name"
I think everyone have or will have this problem (read the comments on the video); every path address is correct, i've copy/pasted everything in the right folders.
I tried moving all the .worlds files from the local root (The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds) to the Documents/blablabla/InstalledWorlds to see if it was the problem, but when i opened the game worlds aren't totally there anymore (like they can't be read).
If using the sims3pack installed from the launcher, everything is ok, no corrupted names (and obviously .worlds are in InstalledWorlds directory)
I can't understand if it's a problem of the Worlds->Content SimArchitect managed to convert in .package files (to put in Mod/Packages, and actually are in Mod/Packages/Store/World Content/) [maybe it can't read the double directory in Packages one?]
Or something else?
When you convert from .sims3pack to .package, does it store the directories address path? Cause maybe SimArchitect default root installation of Sims 3 is in c:\programs\etc., while mine is on a different harddisk with different directories, so maybe that's the problem?
Tested everything on fresh install and fresh documents/blabla/the sims 3 directory reset
//EDIT
No one know how to solve?
//EDIT
Ok i think i found the problem while reading this: simswiki(DOT)info/wiki(DOT)php%3Ftitle%3DGame_Help:TS3_Installing_Worlds_Without_The_Launcher [can't post links, change (DOT) word with a dot]
SimArchitect missed an important part when managed to extract the .sims3pack files (red part):
Everything worked fine! Opened the game, created a new game on Hidden Springs and the Sims/Lot/Object names were correct.
A tip: when you extract the STBL's, as the wiki says you can extract only the language you actually use, but there are some STBL strings where you can't recognize the language, so just export them all (some world descriptions can be empty, but it seems they are actually filled when the world is opened in game).

SimArchitect missed an important part when managed to extract the .sims3pack files (red part):
So i tried with Hidden Springs world, extracted the STBL strings and copied the resulting .package to Mods/Packages folder (green part).EA World Instructions
- Create a working folder on your desktop or other location, name it whatever you want
- in this tutorial, I named the folder Riverview
Place the world Riverview.Sims3Pack in the working folder Run it through S3RC/Decrap
Easiest method is to drag and drop the sims3pack onto the decrapify.exe - this only applies to Store Worlds, Custom Worlds do not need this step Run Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter
make sure you set the input and output to your working folder Locate the largest size package, rename it to riverview.world
This is easier if you choose View > Details and then Sort > Size Open riverview.world with S3PE and extract STBL's to riverview.package in your working folder
You only need your default language, but you can export all of them if you're not sure which one you need. This is important to keep the game from displaying untranslated strings since it does not read the STBL files from within the .world file Move riverview.world to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds
You will see SunsetValley.world in the same folder Move the remaining .package files to your Mods\Packages folder
Make sure you include the stbl package Test your game
Everything worked fine! Opened the game, created a new game on Hidden Springs and the Sims/Lot/Object names were correct.

Re: The Sims 3 Full Store + Blue River (2016) by SimArchitect - Corrupted names problem. [SOLVED]
Hello and welcome to the forum @cazza,
Thanks for sharing your solution with us. We will ourselves release a complete Sims 3 store torrent though, but it will be a bit different than the one from Sim Architect. For a start, we are going to provide the worlds as .sims3pack files only.
Also, please note that Sim Architect used to be a team member on here a while ago, but is not active anymore these days. In case of any questions you should preferably get in touch with Sim Architect directly.
Also keep in mind that we cannot get back to each and every post on here, right after they show up. You will need to excuse us, and if you wait patiently, you will usually get a reply no longer than 24 hours after posting your question.
Since your question seems answered, I will also close the topic now. Have fun !
P.S. the reason we will include the worlds as .sims3pack files is exactly because of the red part that you highlighted in your post: in the end it's probably easier to just use the launcher for worlds instead.
