Get Together won't install. [SOLVED]

No matter what I do the installer for the Sims 4 Get Together won't open or load. I can't seem to install it even though the files seem to be fine and my anti-viruses are all completely off. I've been trying to install by clicking both of the ts4.exe and the 64-bit even tried running each of them as admin but it hasn't started the installation process at all. I keep clicking the files and nothing happens. I'm using windows 8 operating system btw.

Get to work installed perfectly fine and I'm able to load and play the sims 4 just without any content from the Sims Get Together.

Please help I've been ready to pull my hair out for the past three days trying to get these games to work!

Hello and welcome to the forum,

So are you having problems with the installation or actually running the game ? Your information is a bit conflicting. You must copy and paste the files of the download over your existing base game installation. Did you do that ?

I'm having an issue installing Get Together. I followed the installation guide but when I go to install by clicking on TS4.exe nothing happens.

And yes I did copy and paste and replace the previous files. Into the sims 4 folder now located directly in Program Files(x86).

If you copied and pasted the stuff into the correct location and replaced the existing files and folders, the installation is complete; there is nothing else to do. But yes, I think your Windows Defender and/or third-party anti-virus are messing with this.

If you cannot configure your anti-virus properly, and it keeps interfering with the game, you might as well just uninstall it, since there is no other way to get The Sims 4 running. Also, depending on your Windows system make sure to either disable Windows Defender completely or at least add the install folder of The Sims 4 to its exclusions.

And then copy and paste one more time the downloaded files of "Get together", over your Sims 4 install folder, again replacing the existing items. Try the game again then.

I have no anti-virus programs on my computer I uninstalled them all.

Hmm if the installation is complete then I'm not sure why none of the new content is showing up in the game. Only the GTW content is showing.

Also the game doesn't give me a startup error it opens perfectly fine, it's simply a matter of missing content at this point WhatDidUJustCallMe?

. I have the destination world so I guess that's for the outdoor retreat pack but Windenburg which should come with get together isn't showing up.

Alright then - try moving the install folder of The Sims 4 under Program files (x86), directly under the desktop, and try running the game from there. I've seen lots of cases in the past where people mix up two different folder destinations.

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and C:\Program files(x86)\The Sims 4. I know you said it already in the previous post, but you are again absolutely positive that you copied and pasted the files from the "Get together"-download into the latter of the two folder destinations ? The one I marked in bold red color ?

Yeah I did but I just unzipped the torrent file again and copied and replaced the files one more time and now it's got all the content!
