Sims3 stopped working Empty Sims3 stopped working

So I feel like playing Sims3 again so I downloaded everything at your main site but after the CAS, when choosing a place to move in, my sims 3 stopped working. 

Tried the fixed

but it is not working either.
Pop is always after the moving in.

Any other suggestions? Would really love to play the game again.

Did you, by any chance, add any mods while you were at it?
Did you try different neighbourhoods?

Hello @madlikeme,


In addition, I would advise to also turn on vertical synchronization in your graphics card settings, if you haven't done so already. Otherwise, this will just create unnecessary stress for the graphics card, and this in turn can lead to game crashes and in the long run possibly to hardware damages too. So far so good now, will play for a few hours and see how it goes. Thanks guys!

Same thing occur today. Deleted the whole game instead. LOL.
Was just too mad. 

PS: Didn't use mod.

Sorry to hear about that, but do you have a 64-bit Windows system and also at least 4 GB of RAM in your computer ? If yes, and if you want to re-install in the future, try downloading the "4GB patch" from this site here:
http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php

Double-click on it and select the TS3W.exe, located under C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

Also, if your computer is rather weak in terms of hardware, consider leaving out a couple of expansions in your next re-install. That can help a bit, too.

Hey, so I have downloaded sims 3 again after being bored of sims 4.
I re-format my laptop to factory setting but its the same. Pop up continue.

Did the 4gb patch and what I wrote in the first post before posting.

Just to check, what should the compatibility mode be? If all still fail, maybe my laptop is really too old(new) for sims3.

Have you checked for Switchable Graphics ?
Maybe you have a better graphics card but it is not configured for the Sims 3 yet.

Open Device Manager
Open Display adapters.

When you see more than 1 adapter there, you have switchable graphics.
