Sims3 stopped working

Hello!

I've used the updated ultimate fix(11-03-2012), and re-installed and followed the steps correctly, but still sims would stop working. In step 11, I used the manual patch. I can still play, but i had to save all the time as it stops working after 30mins-1 hr. I don't have any mods, or custom content..

Note: I have only generations, pets, world adventures, and late night. When i installed some of the expansions it said, sims 3 needs to be updated before this product installed and clicked yes. When I came to step 5 in manual patch, I skipped it cause the SKU value was already 2. My base game's version is 1.32.

..did i do something wrong? i've seen similar problems around the forum, but it still doesn't work when i try their solutions please help!

thank you for the reply! i'm still checking if it works, i did the DEP thing and fixed the compatibility. When i ran the game, my saved games weren't there, and there were 2 Electronic Arts folders in my documents. should i merge them to have my saved games again? just being safe

Merging them should be fine or you could just transfer over all your saved data

EDIT: MAKE SURE TO TRANSFER OVER THE NEWLY CREATED FOLDER

when i transferred the saved files it said, a serious error has occurred (in loading the saves). That's when it's compatible with windows 95, but when compatible with XP, it still crashed when i played for more than an hour..

Remove/backup both "Electronic Arts" folders and then restart your game. Does it still crash?

it doesn't crash, but i haven't played it for a long time without my saved games (sometimes it doesn't crash for 2 hours). it still crashes when i return my saved games..

Wait, now I tried really playing sims after removing the electronic arts folder. it also stopped working eventually

it just says, "Sims 3 has stopped working"

it still didn't work.. it takes a very very long time before stopping

Please try this:

1. Download and happy this manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch-updated (Re-do it if the wizard tells you already have the latest version of the game)
2. Re-download and re-apply the latest version of the Fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
3. Start the game and let us know the result. Good luck!
