Basically I had to buy the Sims 3 because the one I downloaded from here was causing my laptop to crash so I bought it and installed in via Origin and I download the rest of the expansion packs from yourselves all installed fine and then I applied the crack into the game bin and then i downloaded the no cd crack and when I went to start the game manually like by the TS3W it opened up Origin onto my games on it and the game would not start so then i tried via the launcher and it asked for the Island Paradise CD. I was just wondering if any of you could help me with this problem I followed all the proper steps. I have my mod folder updated with everything my game is updated it just wont start.

Hi! Please apply the fix as instructed in the topic below, to the folder where the base game is, and not the expansion. Let's know if it works!

Hey thank your reply unfortunately it didn't work it keeps redirecting me back tot he launcher or opens origin. I've ran a cc cleaner just in case but nothing has changed I dont know how to fix this.

You can run The Sims 3 from the launcher, no problem at all. That's what I do usually. I run the launcher and click "play", then the game works. But you need to have at least one expansion installed newer than Generations and the fix applied to the BASE GAME for the things to work out properly.

Try running the game from TS3W.exe instead of The Launcher
