Cannot place household from CAS Demo to Sims 4. [SOLVED]

I had downloaded the Sims 4 CAS Demo straight from Origin before getting TS4 from here, and played around with making various families. 
I have TS4 base game, the expansion packs, and the ultimate fix (all I need to install now is the hotfix for the llama pics), all downloaded from here and working without issues (besides the aforementioned llamas).

Basically I moved the tray folders from CAS Demo to the tray of TS4, and after a lot of googling managed to get them to appear in my library at last, however the game won't let me place them because: "cannot place household because it was created with a newer version of the game."

Now, I figure if it was something made with a newer version of TS4 itself it might give this problem since I'm aware this version isn't the latest but... is the CAS Demo really newer than the base game... ? And if not, what could be the problem? And if yes, isn't there a way around it? I'd really rather not have to redo them from scratch. I wish they would at least allow you to edit and re-save them, if not place them directly.

I cannot answer the question 100%, but since the demo is still offered on Origin at this point, I assume there will also be some sort of "game version" in the demo. Alternatively, it is possible that EA have made some precautions, so that you cannot use these items in a pirated Sims 4.
