Sims 4 freezes whole computer

Hello,
About a week ago, my game was fine and no problems. Within that week the game just freezes, the mouse doesnt move and the game looks normal. I have to reboot the computer by a hard reset as the key commands and mouse have no effect.
Sims 4 from you.

Hello,
Does it make a difference when you reduce some of the graphics settings in the options menu of the game ? Also, look for something like "laptop mode" in your in-game options. Try both marking and unmarking the box, to see if anything makes a difference.

Sadly I've now found all games cause this. Even games from 2005...
Would you say its a connection to the graphics card?
All these games ran smoothly, especially Sims 4 about 3 weeks ago.

it happen to me too i put all graphic-options on high (game should run without lag with an HP Envy intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz 16GB RAM 64Bit) but anyway the game runs slow at some point and i hear just a scratching sound... it take some min. to run normally again. its annoying but yeah its a cracked game!

It doesnt make any noise and not all games are cracked.

Hey I see you have a problem I had a while back from my old laptop. Have you tried cleaning your fan with some compressed air? With me, this problem was caused from overheating. Sorry to hear about this issue (it sounds really nasty). Do you ever get any sort of error message, or a bluescreen, etc. ? It could also be any sort of hardware damage, in which case you might consider bringing the computer to a professional repair service. Or, if there is still a warranty, use the warranty for that.

Hello,
No error message, the screen stops and it looks like a picture where no animation is suspended and its stuck. I got it set up by a professional, it was working now it is not. No BSOD, no error, no message. Just frozen like a screenshot. Mouse does not move, PC is still on and lights on case and components but the screen is stuck and unresponsive to keyboard.

At that point I would almost suggest a "system restore"; though in all these years I have never done it on Windows 7.
I did it lots of times in the past with Windows XP, and once with Windows 8. But so far never with Windows 7. See this guide here in case you are unfamiliar:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/restore-system-files-and-settings
You might want to back up your most important stuff, just in case, before doing that system restore.

Hm, there must be an issue in normal mode as safe mode runs without issues

You could try doing a malware/virus check in safe (!!!!) mode - and not in normal mode as you may think; chances of detecting malicious tools are higher in safe mode. A good anti-malware program I used myself was "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware", which is also available from Games4theworld here. Might be a bit of effort, and depending on how much stuff you have on your hard-drive the check may take a while.
An alternative could be that you use a special bootable anti-virus CD/DVD, and configure your BIOS to boot from said CD. Doing a check this way yields even bigger chances of catching the malicious software, but I myself have not done this yet, and depending on what anti-virus you have, there may be different ways of "burning" such a disc...

It crashed the same way whilst performing a check with anti malware bytes in Safe Mode. I have tried system restore.

Yes, no change after system restore, however I did not have a restore from the time there was no issue.

I found some dodgy RAM when cleaning my PC, one of the pins were missing. I took it out and for 3 days all the games ran PERFECT, high settings no lag, I could play Minecraft with high settings and shaders with 60fps (vsync)
Then it went back to crashing again. the whole thing, yesterday it crashed whilst watching a youtube video with nothing else open, it wasnt even full screen or high quality.
I took the second pair of the RAM (it came as a kit of 2), out but it didnt change anything?
Other than clean it and take the RAM out seemed to work for 3 days?
