SIMS 4 EXPANSION PACK PROBLEMS!

So i recently downloaded Sims 4 but wasn't aware i needed to download all the expansion packs so i skipped the Get To Work expansion pack and only downloaded Get Together. Can i just go back and download Get To Work now or will it not work because i downloaded Get Together first? Whenever i try to play the game now without Get To Work the game freezes and i have to restart my computer so i figured its because i didn't have all the packs downloaded.

download Get to Work, install it as you installed Get Together, install Get Together, install Hotfix. Here's more detailed guide.

Do you think that it will still work even if they weren't installed in that exact order?

No, if you skipped the expansion Get to Work:

Install Get To Work
Install Get Together again
Perform the hotfix again
