Sims 3 expansion pack problems. [SOLVED]
I bought Sims 3, World Adventures and Ambitions from Maxis via download then got all other expansion packs from Games4theworld. It all worked perfectly until I had to reformat my computer. When I went to redownload everything and opened the files in WinWar it says "This Archive is either unknown or damaged." on all of them except Generations. I went through the download and installation process with no problems until I went to transfer the cracked file into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and my Sims 3, World Adventures and Ambitions aren't in the program file but they are in the Documents file under Electronic Arts. The Sims Generation is the only game under Electronic Arts in my program files. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix it? I've been trying to fix it all night.

Hello,
This may be because you're retail versions are downloaded versions.
The folders in the "my documents" folder aren't your install directory, this is just where your settings, mods and save games are stored.
You may find your install directory in another location, perhaps C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
You may have to redownload the ones winRAR wont open. It sounds like your download wasn't yet complete.

Re: Sims 3 expansion pack problems. [SOLVED]
Thank you, it was in the Origin folder. I tried deleting and redownloading all the other files from Games4TheWorld, my copy of sims 3 and winrar but the second I start downloading the others that message comes up everytime. Its letting me upload other files on winrar just not files from Games4TheWorld

Re: Sims 3 expansion pack problems. [SOLVED]
Hello,
Well, this error is usually caused by an error during the download -process, which makes the archive (.rar file) corrupt.
The only way to fix this is by re-downloading the file.
After you've done that, please follow these instructions:
Open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now, start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!
