Problem with extraction of Sims 3 files

I am so heartbroken:(

i patiently waited and downloaded the whole game (Sims3 Base Game), the moment i started extracting the files it gave me an error saying 'CRC failed in The_ Sims_3_Disk_1.iso. This file is corrupt.'

Now i don't know what to do....I am completely stuck here. Forget the installation problems, i can't even extract these files. Btw, this is the basic game. I was also downloading Sims3_Pets just as your installation guide has asked me to do....But now I've just put that on hold.

I am still keeping the Sims3 Base Game downloaded files just in case some miracle happens....Please tell me how to fix this problem??

Please try the following:

Open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now, start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!


If the above didn't work, I'm afraid the .rar file is corrupt. Be sure that you fully downloaded the file via your Bittorrent client, and not that it's still downloading the file.
If you're 100% that the file is already fully downloaded, I'm afraid there was an error during the download process and the only way to fix the error is re-downloading the file.

OMG, I cant begin to express my immense pleasure, I am currently Installing the Game:D I dont know what i was doing wrong though...:p
