Books and animations.

Anyone else having an issue with books (homework/reading). Everytime i read a book it gets stuck in my sim's hand. I did not have this issue before activating dine out..

this bug is so common that your sim can end up with anything stuck to their hand.

There are few way so could fix this. You could:
Add offending item to your sim inventory
Change sim outfit using dresser
Travel to another lot

I dont suppose theres a permenant fix? mod or otherwise?

It's bug in game's code. They'll probably fix it in future, but for now try suggested solutions as right now there aren't any mods as problem isn't quite spread.
