Potential fix for Origin not running problem

Here's my setup info:
Running Windows 10
Have The Sims 4
Have Get to Work
Have Get Together
Have Windows Defender running

Do not have Ultimate Fix yet
Do not have any other antivirus programs

I was able to circumvent the problem by running TS4_x64.exe rather than TS4.exe

I have no clue if this fix will work on other operating systems or setups, but I thought I'd throw it out there as an option.

If you have any other questions about my setup, I'd be happy to answer them.

Indeed, using the 64-bit executable - if you are on a 64-bit operating system - can prove itself helpful. Maybe it has to do with the detecting algorithms of anti-virus software ignoring these executables...nonetheless, on occasion the 64-bit .exe won't work either. If you properly configured all your exclusions, it should be possible to run both .exe's. See also the topic here, if you need fresh files (in case of anti-virus software tampering with the game):
