Sim not moving?

Hello!

I have recently downloaded the game with all three expansion packs, and it all works perfectly... until I try to play with the sim, as it doesn't move at all? It shows the tasks and everything, but the sim is glued to a spot and doesn't move at all. I have no mods, and already tried resetting it, reinstalled the game (following all the intstructions) and everything google has offered me, but it doesn't seem to work... Anyone has a suggestion what should I do?   It's getting really frustrating...
