The sims 2 EP 1 University asking for CD4

i'm trying to install The Sims 2 Complete Colection but there's a problem, when i try installing the ep 1 (university), it asks for the cd 4 for The Sims 2, i've tried the things it says on the "overview-topic for The Sims 2" but i got nothing. what do i do?

Hello @ranhcase,

You probably have already installed the base game of The Sims 2, either from another download or from CD. I suggest you uninstall that game, and re-boot the computer. Then proceed with installing the base game that is included in the Games4theworld-version of The Sims 2.   Available from the site here (in case you downloaded a complete collection from another uploader):

i can't uninstall the game, it says i have expansions installed and i need to uninstall them before, but i don't have anything else but the Sims 2 Double Deluxe.

Also, the base game is from the games4theworld, nowhere else.

I looked again at your opening post, and it said you cannot INSTALL The Sims 2 University. Did you maybe mean you cannot play the expansion (and that it is already installed, in fact) ? I know you can get the error when you finished installing the expansion and then you try running the game. But the installation itself should be unproblematic.

If you want to do it, have a look here:

And remove everything you can find about The Sims 2. Re-boot the computer, then try installing again from afresh.
