Sims 3 University crashes game (Followed Instructions, played fine before University)

^ I've followed the above 100%. My game worked perfectly before installing University and using the updater/crack. Since I can't revert back, I'm pretty much stuck in this situation (besides re-dling every single Sim3 & expansion).

My Sims 3 consisted of Ambitions, Late night, pets, seasons, and showtime. So seasons was the most recent one I had. Other than that, I had SIms3 worlds (ones you need goldcoins for) and some mods (which I removed already for document folder, in addition to cache ect..)

My game was using the version from TS3_1.42.130.0190xx_updater.exe

I installed University, I used the recent updater and I used the appropriate crack, yet the game will crash 1. When I'm loading in or 2. Even if I get in, clicking just about anything will make it crash. No issues before University, so I'm at a loss here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello and sorry for the "delay", I must have overlooked you

Alright, it seems that the new patch (1.50) causes problems with some people. First of all, try this: in Windows, go to Documents/Electronic Arts and rename the folder with the name "The Sims 3", for example like this here: "The Sims 3_". Then start the game (you'll realise that your mods/CC and your saves are temporarily gone), make a new save and see if you encounter any problems.

This is about un-installing The Sims 3. In your case I would try un-installing just "University". Pay attention to the part about deleting the registry keys of "University"!
-You want to play without the university-expansion? Then you should google for the patch 1.42 (in case you don't have it anymore). Re-apply that patch, then re-apply the Ultimate fix.
-OR: you decide to give it a try and re-install university. But before you do so, rename "The Sims 3" folder the way I explained to you above.

Keep in mind that whatever you decide to do (either playing without University or re-installing it) you want a clean uninstall of your current University expansion . So read the article about uninstalling very carefully!
