Sims 4 download links not working?

Ive read the tutorial but I can't even download any expansions or anything, when I click on the torrent link all it does is open an internet explorer page to my downloads, and when i click on the magnet link nothing happens. Is there some thing i'm doing wrong or need to fix? Thanks

So i have origin, and i already purchased the base game but i have turned off automatic updates. I downloaded and installed first get to work, then get together and then lastly City living, without a problem but it appears impossible to run the sims 4 without origin(which i had completely off while installing all DLCs). I cannot run the sims 4 without updating it says origin. Is there anyway to bypass this?

When you last updated or played your original game it became version 1.26. (with toddlers)
Pirated games are still on version 1.25 (no toddlers)

Go to the folder Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and delete the file GameVersion.
