Ts4 Uninstalling certain packs?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I would like to know if it's possible to uninstall certain ep/gp/sps but keep the latest update for the sims4. I'm not asking for separate downloads i know ts4 updates come with ep/gps, i want to know if it's possible to uninstall a pack after installing that pack+update.

Hello,
Welcome to the forum.
I don't think that's possible at this point, but feel free to check back later for a reply from my teammate.

Re: Ts4 Uninstalling certain packs?
Suppose you want to uninstall a stuff-pack:
Just delete it from the Sims 4 folder in Program Files (x86).
Play the game and you'll receive a message (if you've used items from that pack) that some items are missing.
When you then save the game, the SP is removed.
At present don't remove City Limits, Glamour and Backyard in this manner !
They are required by the latest crack.

Re: Ts4 Uninstalling certain packs?
Thank you for your replies. Tarac no, not necessarily a stuff pack. I was planning to uninstall vampires gp when it's released. My system isn't good enough to run with all those packs, i'm not big fan of supernatural stuff on sims either, so didn't want to make my game slower with something i don't want/need. In this case i'll have to wait for another update (let's say, we'll get vampires+bowling sp first then pets ep) in order to uninstall vampires, right?

Re: Ts4 Uninstalling certain packs?
It all just depends on how the "crack" is constructed.
City Living wouldn't work without Backyard (don't ask me why).
At present I'm working on a system whereby you can download the individual packs instead of collections.
With the current crack (City Limits) I can now play the game with no DLC's at all, but that needs an addition in the existing The Sims 4 folder in My Documents - Electronic Arts.
Also the download for the basegame is a bit larger.
I agree with @The_gh0stm4n that such a system will only be worthwile when The Sims 4 has come to an end
Anyway, you can always try it for yourself by simply moving the folder of an unwanted extension out of your existing folder The Sims 4 in Program Files. Then start your game. You might get an error about items missing, but when you save the game again the missing parts will be deleted from your game.
When it fails to load you can add the moved folder back to its original location..

Re: Ts4 Uninstalling certain packs?
Actually that would be way too cool if you managed to do that. In ts3 we were able to update game via launcher then download eps we want. I wish they released packs as individuals with their cracks. I'll try your suggestion, but i have a question wouldn't it corrupt current saves? I understand that objects/cas items would be missing in game but what about things affects gameplay (like skills, careers, traits etc. come with that pack)

It is obvious that when you delete one or more packs you'll also loose the gameplay, worlds, careers aso of those packs.bethesus wrote:Actually that would be way too cool if you managed to do that. To illustrate this:
I have a game with all DLC's, started the game and closed it without playing.
This produced a folder in Documents\Electronic Arts with everything in it.
Removing a DLC folder lead to messages in the game that some items or worlds were missing.
Nevertheless, the game was still playable without these specific items.
Removing all DLC's finally lead to playing the basegame only.
When I now just add a folder of a DLC it will not show up in the "welcome-screen" because it was already incorporated in the game earlier on, but the items and worlds became playable again.

Hello and welcome to the Forum first of all @bethesus,
Removing the folders alone will lead to this peculiarity about the game freezing at startup. I remember back then I played on such a setup, and after waiting a minute or two the game unfroze again. I have not played enough of the game back then to see whether there are other issues. Feel free to try it though, and let us know how it went.
Alternatively...see this post here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t24629-the-sims-4-update-only-ultimate-fix-out-now-version-1-25-136-1020
Note, you may have to uninstall everything about TS4 you have at the moment, and then re-install the base game + apply this "update-only-fix". Good luck!
