The Sims 4 Update-Only Ultimate Fix OUT NOW! [VERSION 1.25.136.1020]

Dear users,

Due to user requests, we are glad to inform you that we have managed to release an "update-only" fix for The Sims 4. This fix requires that you have downloaded a RELOADED-based The Sims 4 base game, from either Games4theworld or another uploader. The update will patch your base game to version 1.25, but without giving you any of the DLC.

This "Update-only-fix" will be mainly interesting for those of you who have slow internet connections and/or want to evaluate the game before downloading any of the other DLC updates. Please note: if you want the entire DLC pack anyhow, you do NOT need this fix! Instead, follow the instructions here:

Your feedback will indirectly also help us in evaluating other things! For example, we want to investigate whether it can be a feasible idea to provide downloads for individual DLC (thanks to user @Tarac for pointing out a possible lead in that direction). We also intend to release a "fixed" base game for The Sims 4, due to certain minor issues with the existing one (mostly about some users not being able to install the game on non-C: drives).

But the future development of the download formats remains to be seen.

For now, good luck! Note, for now we will provide these update-only-fixes (due to their relatively small size) on direct download-mirrors only. We may or may not create a torrent for these, but feel free to let us know in the comments below if you want to see that in torrent-format as well.

Congratulations to the people who created this update. Glad to see that my humble contribution in this field is followed up.
One point however, why GP04 is not included in _Installer ?
Also I haven't checked yet if toddlers is included. Not that it would work already, but it could reduce the size of the new crack.
My prediction for the upcoming crack is that in the end it can be reduced to the real folder GP04 (675 Mb), 2 files in the folder Data\Client and of course the crack in folder Game.

will this make my DLC Not Work anymore? because i installed every one of them (not toddlers and vampire, the ones you can download on your site)

There are now links for the torrent file and a magnet as well. Please keep in mind though that the initial seeding will be slow, and I'm not sure how many people are even interested in this, so it can take a while for this to pick up in speeds. If the torrent goes slow, please for now try using the direct download mirrors! 

If any of you who already downloaded this thing from one of the mirrors, wants to help seeding, put the .rar file into the folder where your torrents get saved after the download. Then you load the torrent file or the magnet link, after which the client should do a file integrity check. Once the check is done, you should now be seeding the torrent! 

To everybody else, this is an Update-Only-fix. Which means it contains ONLY THE BASE GAME UPDATE FOR VERSION 1.25.136.1020, AND NO DLC. Please read the announcement (and the included instructions) very carefully. All the information you need is there already.

Edit: if for some reason any of you misunderstood the announcement in such a way that you expected something else from it (?), and hence applied this update, you can restore your DLC by re-applying the Get to Work -> Get together -> City Living downloads from G4TW, according to this guide:

What is the point of this update? Because from what has been said about it it seems pretty useless, i think a better description would do it a lot of justice.

Um, lots of people had problems and actually asked for this. Nothing this site does to help us as users is "useless" I say thank you to the people here for trying to help us and all the time and effort they put into this. Thank you very much. I presume you have ideas for a "better description"? And the purpose or idea of the update-only fix is clearly outlined in the opening post and the included install guide; I suggest you re-read everything very slowly. Should you still disagree with it, then it's also OK, but in the end nobody forces you to download and use it. We put the poll there for a reason, and let the people decide whether or not they are interested in this.

I get you yourself may not find much use in it, but still I'm not entirely sure why you posted this; are you offended because the message is positioned prominently in the form of a Global Announcement and the post merely being there raised "false hopes" for the new DLC in you? We do this for every new release, and then the message gets un-stickied again after a while.

Could I also remind you of Forum rule #3 here as well (you agreed to the Forum rules when registering here)?

Since i downloaded this and updated my game i go to load the sims and it tells me it has stopped working and closes the program. I've Even deleted all the game and added them all one by one and still does it :s what am i doing wrong???

Am I doing something wrong perhaps ?
When I implemented the fix for the base program, I lost my previously installed worlds.
Installing the DLC's again will probably bring my base game back to its earlier state ?

An other minor problem is that the game is again in English but that's easy to solve of course in RldOrigin.ini by those users wanting another language.

As it looks to me now that installing other DLC's will reset the base game to its original form.

What I intended was a basegame fully prepared to add the separate DLC's. I made this fully workable but it also needed an adapted The Sims 4 folder in Documents.
Maybe we can "brainstorm" together about this via email.

All in good time, man - one step at a time.   The idea I had for the re-release of the base game was to possibly do it in such a way that it is updated to 1.25 straight away. Or maybe we'll wait for the toddlers update with it. Then again, we wanted to wait and see about feedback for this here first, and then decide how we go from there.

And yes, the main audience for this thing is people who either cannot download the DLC at all due to limitations of their internet or also people who want to "evaluate" the game before downloading other DLCs. Also, normally you should be able to restore the DLC by re-applying Get to Work -> Get together -> City Living.

I posted it because i wanted an explanation as to what purpose the update is for, as i dont feel that it was explained clearly enough what the update will do, and wanted to know whether it would be of any use to me. I feel that a more detailed description explaining of what use the update would be if you download it, would have been helpful.

In my opinion the description was clear enough.
It was only applicable for those who just started and/or only had the basegame.

Your criticism (as vague as it is) has been noted, and in the future there may be more emphasis on the reason "it is for people who have a slow internet". There really is no other special target group or purpose for this download. I also contend that the timing for this release - when everybody is anticipating toddlers & vampires - may have been unlucky and also contributed to the confusion, and it should have been released earlier if possible. The reason it was posted with such delay was because of time constraints and other issues on my end.

That said, as for the Forum rules, they can be re-read here. I also edited out your remark with the hostile undertone at the end. If you can't conform to, or remember the rules, then don't post here please. And I'd also like to repeat, you agreed to the rules when registering here - constructive criticism is welcome, if posted in a civil manner.

No it's not.
This is only an update for the base game in case you cannot download the expansions or you don't have enough disc space.
When you do have expansions, DO NOT install this fix.

You can fix the problem by re-applying the Games4theworld DLC in the appropriate order: Get to Work -> Get together -> City Living. As for the update-only, you don't need to use it. It's mainly for people who have a slow internet and cannot download the bigger expansions.

hey, forgive me if what I'm asking is stupid, but isn't toddlers an update only? if you can make an ultimate fix of a specific version of the game why not make one after the toddlers update? just wondering not being mean or anything, personally I have 0 knowledge in those stuff.

Because there is no crack available out yet for game versions of TS4 past 1.25, and I myself do not know how to crack TS4. This "Update-only Ultimate fix" is essentially like the latest City Living-torrent, just totally stripped from all its DLC. In order to create these update-only releases, I take the latest available torrent and then remove the DLC files/folders to reduce the overall filesize significantly.

I have a base game myself of TS4 on Origin with the toddlers update but again, I don't how to crack TS4.
