Sims 4 Slow response time with actions.

I'm sure this has been posted before, as I googled it and have seen posts about it but never actually seen any posts on ways to fix this (if it's possible) But for some reason, more so once i installed city living that the game runs fine however when clicking objects it can take like 5 seconds for the options to actually show up. Also when I try to speed up the game and then go back to normal time the time will just go back as if it never happened. (Bad explanation sorry haha) I'm not getting any actual lag and I know my computer can run it, other than the ram being low. So is there any fix to this?
