Register Editor problem
Hello!
I am having an issue with the Register Editor. I am downloading the Sims 3: World Adventures and your directions say to go to (if you have a windows 7 os) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3. That would be cool, but I have no "Sims" file located in my software folder. I also looked for Electronic Arts, but it's not in there Is there anywhere else it could be located, or anything I could do about moving a "Sims" subfolder to the software folder?
And also (sorry for the long post but I might as well ask any questions I have now ) I saw somewhere that you don't need to use the #crack for World Adventures, but you do for late night, generations, and town life. I was wondering why that was, and if it is true, can just skip the step in the directions?

Re: Register Editor problem
Hello,
Can't help you with the registry, I'm using XP myself.
As for the cracks, don't use any cracks at all during installation. Instead, apply the ultimate fix when you're finished installing all your expansions.
Edit: Look here for the registry problem.

Re: Register Editor problem
Thanks for that link! Haha I feel like a doof.
Oh snap. I did do 2 cracks. So will that have completely ruined my game now?
So if I'm not doing the cracks do I just go to the setup for WA (Sims3EP01Setup.exe)?
EDIT: Nevermind. Thanks for the help!

Re: Register Editor problem
if you have multiple accounts in your PC you can find the EA folder under the current user section of the regedit.)
