Sims 3 Pets installer app won't open, can't install it. [SOLVED]

Hi, I downloaded the fixed new version of the sims 3 pets.
i currently have the base game and world adventures installed, and i wanted to install pets with the ultimate fix. i followed the instructions and i downloaded pets and made a dmg of the folder and everything seemed to be working fine but when i double click on the Installer, it just doesn't do anything, doesn't open.
It's not a problem with my computer because it is only doing it for this installer, nothing else.

Anyone else having this issue and are there any possible solutions?

I was having a similar problem but then I realized I wasn't using the right expander/extractor program. Are you using Stuffit Expander?

Admin, I think you should add to the tutorial on installing pets that you need to make a dmg of the unzipped folder. It seems that is causing a lot of strife for most people.

P.S. This problem is fixed and this thread can be closed

I can't do anything, since I have no Mac experience, you know.
I get help from Mac users when creating guides. Currently there's no one who can/wants to help me creating a (new) Mac guide.
