Help please! ASAP. [SOLVED]

Hello Everyone,

I just downloaded and installed some of Game4theworlds expansion packs for the
sims 3. Now when i click on the sims 3 icon [Any of them] the launcher
will pop up, but once i click the button to play it the launcher goes
away and nothing happens. So i went into the files of every expansion
pack and tried manually starting it by clicking the starter application
and then i get a pop up that says;

Unable to start game
Service initialization failed (0x024e424f)

Now i only downloaded and installed;
The Sims 3 Generations
The Sims 3 Pets &&
The Sims 3 Ambitions

I have The Sims 3 on disk and that is how i installed that one.

I followed all of the directions and made sure i did them right.

How do i fix this? What do i need to do to get the game to work?

I have the same problem. I installed pets and did the ultimate fix correctly. I applied the crack in the right folder. The game worked fine once but on the second time i played the game i think there was some bad CC and the games mouse arrow got buggered, pixelized.. I removed the CC from mods folder. How can i remove the sims3pack mods if i cant open the launcher, where can i find those? When i turned off the game the game wont open anymore, from the launcher or from the TSW3.exe. I also tried the DEP thing, didn't work either. Help?

Try removing/backing up the following folder: (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads
It should contain all the .sims3pack files.

Yay, I used the ultimate fix and followed all of those instructions and viola! My game is up and running smoothly.. Now the only flaw is the clarity of the game isn't that great, It's a tad blurry but other then that its wonderful!!
